So a couple of you have noted that I don't have a blog posting for yesterday. Actually, I do, I just ended up deciding to make it private. Long story. LOL
So, is it just me, or is this week seeming ridiculously long so far? I can't believe it's only Tuesday... it feels like it should be Thursday, at least. Maybe it's because I've actually had quite a bit of stuff to do at work this week... and that I'm actually accomplishing quite a bit of it, too! LOL
Tonight was a fundraiser night for the kids' school. It was a dinner night at Red Robin, so at least it was pretty good food and a fun atmosphere for the kids. The Red Robin mascot came over to the table for the kids for awhile and the waitress was really awesome to the kids, even brought Amy a free second side of broccoli (yes, my daughter loves broccoli and wanted a second helping LOL) and Matthew wanted a second side of mandarin oranges. I couldn't even eat half of what I'd ordered, which is typical, but at least it means I have lunch tomorrow! It was a bit pricy (I can't believe how much they've raised their prices... man!) but the proceeds all went to the kids' school, so I can at least feel good about that.
Speaking of the kids' school... I don't know if the economy has affected the school and their ability to have school regularly, but it's kind of weird how many days off they have this year. They have this Friday off, followed by two weeks off (their normal two week fall break) and then two weeks after they get back they have a Friday off, then two weeks after that is Thanksgiving so they have Wed, Thurs, Fri off for that, then two weeks after that they have a Friday off, then two weeks after that is their Winter break (two weeks off)... it's just weird! I'd love to have a 3-day weekend every couple of weeks!! Unfortunately, it kind of smacks our budget some because all of those extra days off mean money going into daycare. Uggh. Oh well... such is life, right?
Well, it's time to call it a night. I'm exhausted, so, bed for me! "See" y'all tomorrow!
